Ingredients:

  • Papads (any variety like urad dal, moong dal, or rice)
  • Boiled chickpeas (chana), drained
  • Finely chopped onions
  • Finely chopped tomatoes
  • Finely chopped green chilies
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • Chaat masala
  • Red chili powder
  • Roasted cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Lemon juice
  • Sev (crunchy chickpea flour noodles) for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Roast the papads: Heat a tawa (flat griddle) or a non-stick pan. Roast the papads one by one over low to medium flame until they turn crisp. Be careful not to burn them. Set aside.

  2. Prepare the chickpea mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine boiled chickpeas, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped green chilies, chopped coriander leaves, chaat masala, red chili powder, roasted cumin powder, salt to taste, and lemon juice. Mix well.

  3. Assemble the papads: Place the roasted papads on a serving plate. Spread a generous amount of the prepared chickpea mixture evenly over each papad.
